Comic book fans around the world have every reason to look forward to April 2014.

It has been announced that the second installment of the “Captain America” series, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” will be released April 4. To add to the anticipation, Marvel Studios released the first official trailer of the film.

In the one week the promo has been posted online, it has gotten more than 19 million views.

Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, (Chris Evans, “Not Another Teen Movie”) struggles to adapt to the new world and his role in it. He also has to fight an enemy from back in time, the Winter Soldier, who is now a Soviet agent.

The trailer makes the film look like it has potential to be a blockbuster hit. All the elements of a successful super hero movie were prevalent. There were attractive people in tight clothing, inspiring speeches from fan-favorite heroes, an all-star cast, humor and plenty of action.

In the 2 ½ minute promo, there were all types of thrilling action. The trailer showed clips of Rogers jumping out of a plane, a huge car chase, a bloody brawl in an elevator, multiple explosions and plenty of guns and people shooting at each other.

“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” will surely please avid action fans. The actors performing these exhilarating stunts are no newbies to the big screen, either, and some are very renowned in Hollywood.

Natasha Romanoff, or the Black Widow, will again be played by Scarlett Johansson (“Lost in Translation,” 2003). Johansson has been nominated for three Golden Globes since the beginning of her career, and has taken home 20 awards in different categories and from different awards programs. She has starred in other movies like “The Horse Whisperer” (1998), “Ghost World” (2001) and “Girl with a Pearl Earring” (2003).

Samuel L. Jackson (“Snakes on a Plane,” 2006), another major award winner, will be playing Nick Fury, director of the S.H.I.E.L.D. international intelligence agency and friend to Captain America. Jackson has been nominated for three Golden Globe awards since the start of his acting career, as well as an Oscar award. Overall, he has been nominated for 54 separate awards, and taken home the trophy 29 different times. He has starred in other movies like “Do the Right Thing” (1989), “Mo’ Better Blues” (1990), “Jungle Fever” (1991) and “Pulp Fiction” (1994).

Rounding out the main characters of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes, aka Winter Soldier, who is the villain of this film. Barnes will be played by Sebastian Stan, (“Hot Tub Time Machine,” 2010). Stan, the least famous actor of the major characters in this film, will have a lot to prove if he wishes to continue acting in the super hero world.

“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is directed by brothers Joe and Anthony Russo. These two don’t have a whole lot of directing experience, and they especially have a lack of experience when it comes to directing super hero and comic book movies.

The only recognizable projects this duo has worked on are “You, Me, and Dupree” (2006) and five episodes of “Arrested Development.”

Although the brothers may not have the know-how typically expected of blockbuster directors, the seasoned cast may make up for any issues that occur because of their inexperience.

Overall, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is a movie that’s going to be much anticipated and will have a lot of hype surrounding it in the coming months. It will definitely be a must-see for comic book and super hero fans alike. Also, all women who enjoy seeing hot men in muscle-accenting attire.
