  • Bauer Phoenix women continue to rise to the top

    The Green Bay women's basketball team won its 37th consecutive game and is starting 17-0 for the first time in school history with an 80-58 victory over the Cleveland State Vikings Jan. 21 at the Kress Events Center. It also marked the 33rd consecutive victory for the Phoenix against Horizon League opponents. With the victory, Green Bay improved its record to 17-0 and 7-0 in the Horizon League, while Cleveland fell to 8-10 overall and 3-4 in conference play.

    The Green Bay men's basketball won its first game over the Butler Bulldogs since February 2009 with an 80-68 victory Jan. 28 at the Resch Center. Green Bay improved its record to 9-12 overall and 5-6 in Horizon League play and is now a game behind three teams for fifth place in the Horizon League. Butler fell to 12-11 overall and 6-5 in conference play.

    The Phoenix women’s basketball team rolls past Youngstown State to keep a perfect record

    The Green Bay women's basketball team remained perfect and earned its 36th consecutive regular season victory with a 75-50 victory over the Youngstown State Penguins Jan. 19 at the Kress Events Center. With the win, Green Bay goes to 16-0 and 6-0 in Horizon League play while Youngstown State falls to 8-9 overall and 2-4 in conference play.

     

  • Bucky unsuccessful in Rose Bowl

    The Wisconsin Badgers football team found themselves on the losing end of the Rose Bowl for the second straight year, falling to Oregon 45-38. Despite a productive day for the Badger offense, coaching errors, mental mistakes and poor defense sunk Wisconsin's hopes of its first Rose Bowl win since 2000.

     

  • NFL 2011 season is one for the books

    After a crazy 2010 NFL season which included the Green Bay Packers winning the Super Bowl with 15 players ending the season on injured reserve, 7-9 Seattle winning its first round game against defending champion New Orleans and the Metrodome collapsing forcing the Vikings to play a game in Detroit, who would have thought 2011 would possible even more crazy?
